Why 2020 is set to be a big year for StepSpace

Ann Trueman, manager of StepSpace, looks back at a busy 2019 for StepSpace and reveals some of the secrets which have made the office concept so successful in Belfast.

We have had a whirlwind 2019 in StepSpace. It has been our best year to date and we are leaving it behind with a packed and lively office, filled with ambitious, creative and interesting companies.

One of the biggest things that we have seen in 2019 is the growth of all of our tenant companies. Our first tenant Whitespace continues to expand and there has been ongoing recruitment across the board in all of our offices. We have been pleased to be able to adapt our space to suit all of their needs.

Earlier this year we expanded to the first floor of Centre House to facilitate the exponential growth of PA Consulting as they built on their existing presence in Northern Ireland. Providing ambitious and successful companies with a flexible, modern and adaptable office space is our goal and we are finding our model is becoming increasingly attractive as the way companies and their employees work continually develops.

We were also delighted to welcome in a few new tenants, including ESO who announced in October that they will create 120 jobs as they establish an engineering centre in Belfast, with support from Invest NI.

The first thing that people notice when they come and visit StepSpace is our fantastic design. Ply Design created a really exciting and bright office space. A lot of time has been spent on the design of StepSpace to have it as a place where companies who are working hard, building their client base can work and also play. The communal core enables companies to have a place to come out and have informal meetings, host a meet up or just to relax.

When Causeway Asset Management launched StepSpace in Belfast they recognised the need within the office market for a more flexible, but still high quality office concept for scaling businesses and this has proven to be exactly what our tenants were looking for.

We know that this year we will remain ahead of the trends and continue to work with our tenants to deliver space which works for them. For now though we would just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
